CD Jacket
This is going to be a CD template when it is printed out. The art work DOES depict what is on the cd. Some pictures on the cover however are not on the CD.

Birth Of Venus
The Birth of Venus is a painting by Botticelli that depicts the goddess Venus emerging from the sea as a full grown women, and arriving at the sea shore, during the Italian Renaissance. I learned quite a few new techniques. Like how to make an action in photoshop, how to warp objects, and how to make a net-like appearance from a few brush strokes.

HDR photography
HDR means high dynamic range photos.
In order to make this photo look practically perfect without any over drastic differences, I took one photo that had a darker foreground and an off colored middle ground and edited them. In order to edit them i had to duplicate the image three times (one for a foreground, one for a middle ground, and a third for the back ground) and edited the ones that needed editing in camera raw. Then placed the images one on top of the other and masked out the bad parts of each photo that i didn't need. then received what you see above.

Vintage Photo
This is Kaitlyn Bodine posing for a picture. To make this photo look vintage i duplicated the original and lens corrected it, lowered the saturation and the hue, adjusted the brightness and contrast, and adjusted the red and blue curves. Also i added in a solid color fill of a slight pink to the photo to make it look more aged.

Down Town Mall Advertisement
These are images that I took while on the Downtown mall Field trip. Our assignment was to make an advertisement for one of the businesses we took a picture of. I chose the paramount. The t-shirt is of the name "Paramount" in two different directions with different blending modes on the layers and of a kangaroo that was also taken on the downtown mall. The poster advertisement is of Frankenstein. The show was coming to the downtown Paramount in march, so i decided to make the poster for an upcoming show. The edited pictures were fun to be creative with.
Picture worth 1000 words
This image was created by taking a picture of myself with a bland back ground, selecting the shadows and the midtones and copying them. then taking away the color from the original layer. I also made custom brushes of my name and painted them onto a new layer. Then over layed and put a gradient on the painted layer and got the above picture.
Choice Project
We were told to choose a project to make on our own. Above is what I chose, to make an apartment room look as if it were submerged in water. I learned how to add multiple layers of the same picture to add more texture to the image, to change the shape of a layer to fit perfectly into one space by using the free transform tool, how to use the burn tool and how to change the hue of an entire image.

Claymation
We were assigned to make a set and characters out of clay and art supplies then shoot multiples of "scenes" in sequential order to make a movie from clay structures. Emily Larrabee and I chose to make our "short film" about an astronaut who lands on Mars and then meets two aliens. We had to edit some of the pictures in camera raw, then import them to movie maker, where we then added music.

Experiment with Line
This is the product of my work in photoshop. I took pictures of my bathroom vent and my blind and made movement with different picture properties.

Leading Lines:
I will try to shoot both converging and leading lines. They are the most interesting to me because leading lines seem to flow through the picture easily and point out what the artist wants to be focused on. Converging lines are similar to a mind game, and are entertaining.
some examples are

Balance Collages
This collage is symmetrical with equal visual weight on both sides. By uploading pictures from when i was little and pictures from recent times i masked the rough edges and toggled the opacity to where the visual weight is equal.
This balance collage shows radial symmetry. It was to be inspirational, so it is full of the things that inspire me to keep moving. Wonderful movies, infants, music, sports, unity, and wonderful artists and sponsers, such as Disney. I also did this by finding a photo of a galaxy and centering it in the middle of the image to create a radial look.
This is an advertisement for Walt Disney. It portrays assymetrical images. I cut and pasted disney images from the internet and added different layer masks to each, changed the opacity to most, and transformed the sizes to all look proportionate to the image.
